Once you receive my repair, how long will it take before it ships back out to me?

Each type of repair or engraving job requires a specific amount of time to truly do the job well. However, general repairs or machine engraving take approximately 3-4 business days once it is received in our facility and shipped back out to you. Certain jobs and hand engraving take a bit more time and the expected ship date will be given to you at the time of the estimate.

Are my items insured while they are with you?

Every item that arrives in out store is fully insured during its stay with us. So rest easy and know that we will pamper your piece just as much as you do!

I need a repair done that is not listed on your site, is that something BillBarnes.com can still do?

BillBarnes.com is capable of doing just about any repair or engraving job that is sent to us. Once we receive your item, we will call you with an estimate to do the job.

I need my repair done quickly, is there a way to expedite the work that needs to be done?

BillBarnes.com offers a regular service and an express service. Regular service gets your job back to you in a reasonable amount of time. Generally, basic repairs will be shipped out in approximately 3-4 business days once it is received in our facility. Basic repairs with the express service will be shipped out in 1-2 business days. Express Service generally takes about half the time of Regular Service.

What is the safest method for me to send my repair to you?

With shipping today, there really isn’t a guaranteed safe way to ship. However, BillBarnes.com recommends that you insure your package for the appropriate amount as it is not covered by BillBarnes.com until it arrives in our facility.

Do you guarantee the work that you do?

We do guarantee the work that we do! Please see our General Guarantee Below:

BillBarnes.com will guarantee everything we repair or engrave for one year from the date it shipped out from our store unless discussed when giving you an estimate. This means we guarantee such things as stones not falling out or becoming loose and the parts that we made or repaired will not break in the areas in which we worked. Watch repairs are guaranteed for six months.

Please note that if we recommend additional work for your piece and you choose not to do it then we cannot guarantee that portion of your piece. We guarantee the areas of the piece that BillBarnes.com repairs. Additionally, BillBarnes.com guarantees the normal wear and tear of the repair. For example: If, by accident, you run over your piece of jewelry with your car, we cannot guarantee the work.

How do I get an estimate?

Simply fill out our “Submit a Repair” form and send your item to us. We will inspect it and contact you with an estimate. At this time, you may accept or decline the estimate.

If you would like an estimate before you send your item, please contact us. We are happy to give an estimate over the phone. Please note that if an estimate is given over the phone, it is an estimate based on not having seen the item. The estimate could change once your item is inspected.

I have a specific design I want engraved on my item, is that something you can do?

We can definitely engrave something specific just for you! When you send your item to us, just include the design. We will contact you with an estimate and communicate the best possible way to preserve the integrity of your design on the piece you sent in.

Do you repair all types of jewelry?

We repair all types of jewelry! There is very little we can’t do and are happy to assist you with all your jewelry repair needs.

What are the basic costs involved in sending my items to you?

There are only three costs for BillBarnes.com jewelry repair or engraving:

  1. Shipping your item to us
  2. The actual repair charge (if you choose to accept the estimate)
  3. Shipping your item back to you
If you choose to go with our Shipping Option B, your shipping costs to and from are store are included in the price

What is the difference between regular service and express service?
