Can Tacori rings be made in 18k white gold?
Tacori will occasionally allow their rings to be made in 18K white
gold for customers who do not prefer platinum. However, The Tacori
Company does not recommend the 18k gold option. When they make a
ring in 18K white gold, it is polished off with a white treatment
called rhodium. The rhodium eventually fades at which time the yellowish
tint will start to show. This can become a continuing problem. You
can always re-rhodium a ring to get it white again, but this is
where platinum is a far superior choice as it is naturally a brilliant
white.
If I see a two tone Tacori ring, can it be made
in all platinum?
Each and every Tacori ring that is shown in a two-tone combination
can be made in all platinum for a minimal additional charge. Contact
a BillBarnes.com representative for details!
If I already own a diamond, can I buy just the
mounting without the center stone?
Tacori can be ordered as a semi-mount, the ring without the center stone. When we order a semi-mount, all we need are your diamonds measurements so that we can make sure that the semi-mount will fit your stone. Each and every Tacori semi-mount ring can be made to fit any size stone or any shaped stone.
You can usually get your diamonds measurements off of a certificate or appraisal that accompanies your diamond. If, however, you don’t have this information, any friendly local jeweler will be able to supply you with your diamonds measurements.
Once we receive the Tacori semi-mount that you ordered, you have several options. You may send your center diamond to us and we will set your stone in the mounting for $1.00 per point (example: a .66 carat diamond would cost $66.00 to set, a 1.24 carat diamond would cost $124.00 to set), or we can mail the semi-mount to you and you can have a local jeweler set your stone
Is Tacori solid platinum?
Tacori's platinum jewelry is 95% platinum and 5% iridium.
How durable is a platinum Tacori ring?
A Tacori platinum ring is going to be exceptionally durable for
a very long time. One of the strongest and most enduring of metals,
platinum is also one of the heaviest. For example, a piece of jewelry
containing 90 percent pure platinum weighs 60 percent more than
a 14-karat gold piece of similar size. Platinum is ideal for jewelry
that's worn everyday because it shows little wear.
What if, for example, I want a princess cut diamond
as my center stone but the ring that I like is shown with a round
diamond?
Almost every Tacori engagement ring can be made to accommodate
the center stone shape and size of your choice. Since each piece
is manufactured at the time of purchase, you have complete control
over the size and shape of the stone. Not one piece is pre-made
in a specific size or shape. This truly allows you to make the ring
yours!
How long does it take for a Tacori ring to be made?
The standard delivery time for any jeweler carrying the Tacori
line is 4 weeks. It will sometimes arrive sooner than that but very
rarely arrive after the 4 week delivery date. The quality and workmanship
definitely makes the wait worth it!
How will I know that the ring that I receive is
really a Tacori ring?
Each Tacori ring is stamped on the inside of the shank "Tacori"
labeling it for what it is, a true, authentic, Tacori piece.
What if I want sapphires in place of diamonds
on a Tacori ring?
Many of Tacori's ring styles may be altered in design by replacing
diamonds with ruby's or sapphires. Doing this, definitely makes
your piece unique and one of a kind! Contact a BillBarnes.com representative

What do I do about a wedding band for my Tacori
ring? Do I buy my engagement ring now and the wedding band later?
Or, do I buy them at the same time?
There are many options for a wedding band. Many people choose to
go with a fitted band that fits snugly against the engagement ring
without any space in between. Others choose to go with a straight
band. Either option is nice; it just really depends on your personal
preference.
Many people choose to go with a straight band from Tacori. The
reasoning is that they want to be able to wear the wedding band
without the engagement ring. When you have a fitted band on your
hand without the engagement ring, it looks as if it is missing something
due to it being notched out. A straight band can be worn by itself
and gives the engagement set a stacking style.
There are definitely reasons to go with a fitted band. It sits
flush next to the engagement ring without any gaps and gives the
entire set a more finished look. If you prefer to have a fitted
band, it is wise to order it at the same time that you order the
engagement ring. This guarantees a perfect fit since they are manufactured
at the same time. However, it is not always feasible to do both
rings at the same time. If this is the case, we recommend that you
send the engagement ring back to us when you order the band. By
doing this, Tacori can have your ring in hand when making the fitted
band which will insure a nice, snug fit.

May I help choose the center diamond for my engagement
ring?
The choice is yours at BillBarnes.com! What we like to do when
we are working with you is find out what size, shape, and quality
stone you are looking for. We then begin searching for the perfect
diamond. When BillBarnes.com works with a customer, we like to let
you choose! We look at over 100 diamonds and narrow it down to just
a few. We then email you the GIA (Gemological Institute of America)
certificates and let you choose your perfect diamond. By doing it
this way, you are able to pick the center stone of your choice.
You have complete control over the size, shape, quality, and price
of the center diamond.
